Mark Winterbottom is without a doubt one of Australia's most talented and admired racing drivers. At the completion of the 2012 V8 Supercar season, Mark "Frosty" Winterbottom had gained 25 Pole positions, 20 race wins and 95 top three race finishes. The highly talented Sydney born racer vaulted from from 29th in the V8 Supercar Championship in 2005 to 3rd on debut with Ford Performance Racing (FPR) in 2006 and 5th in 2007, gaining his highest result to date of 2nd in 2008. A 5th place finish followed in 2009 and third place finishes were gained in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Mark has not finished outside of the championship top five since joining FPR in 2006. Mark became the first Austalian athlete to feature in a Disney.Pixar movie when the new character bearing his nickname "Frosty" was created for the 2011 smash hit animated movie CARS2. David Russell is an outstanding racing driver who has made his name through his championship winning efforts in Production Cars, progressing to become a multiple race winner in the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship. Russell has competed strongly in the V8 Supercar Development Series over the past three seasons. This is the feeder racing category to the main V8 Supercar Championship. He was the 2009 Privateer's Cup Champion and finished 3rd outright in that series. David competed with Matthew White Racing in the 2010 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, where he was a regular top five competitor and podium visitor. His year was highlighted with Pole position and two unchallenged race victories in the Bathurst Fujitsu V8 Supercar races. Another highlight was his 6th place finish in the main V8 Supercar Series endurance race at Phillip Island co-driving with Jonathon Webb in a Dick Johnson Racing Falcon. David finished third in the 2011 Development Series following a season long Championship fight and some of his fastest and most skillful performances yet. He competed iwith Dreamtime Racing in the Development Series in 2012, but the team was disbanded mid-season. He raced in both main V8 Supercar races as co-driver with Rick Kelly at Jack Daniel's Racing. Marinelli Motorsport supplies sports marketing services to one of the few remaining regional motor racing circuits in Victoria (and Australia for that matter) Winton Motor Raceway. A well known and popular motor racing complex, Winton is also home to the 9th round of the 2013 V8 Supercar Championship from August 23-25. Booked solidly throughout the year for car testing, driver training and all manner of motor racing events, Winton Motor Raceway is owned and operated by the Benalla Auto Club and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2011. Marinelli Motorsport has enjoyed a close association with this venue for more than a decade, working mainly in the promotion, marketing and media affiliations for their annual V8 Supercar event, including the negotiation and management of the venue's promotional alliance with the Herald & Weekly Times, which includes editorial management of the annual Herald Sun Winton V8 Supercar Official Guide.
